Took some video yesterday (Wednesday 29th) onboard a volvo olympian with cummins l10 engine and voith gearbox
The vehicle is ex-London 16436 now owned by Stagecoach Transit
The guy was crazy, driving 55mph in 30-zones, and 45 over speed bumps - I'm kind ashamed (or should that be excited?) to say that he is not the only guy who will drive like this at transit!

I hv tried sth more crazier than this driver, who sped 65mph and 35 mph zone in the US.
Hey, I was once riding on a Yakima Transit (in WA) Thomas SLF 230 (Dennis Dart SLF with MB Engines), the guy was doing at least 60mph at a straight road that marked 30mph...and he doesn't have his seat belt on...

I wonder how fast will he drive if we give him an un-locked ZF 6-gear ATE / AVBW...
He's pushing to the limit of that Olympian's driveline system...
It won't be a lot different, consider it has 230bhp to propel itself, not to mention it
is at least 3 tonnes lighter than an ATE/AVBW. On to top that, Volvo Olympians here
are nominally limited at 58mph. With this turn of speed, it is more than capable to
dust a ATE/AVBW hands down.
Comparing the Volvo Olympians in Britain and those in HK is quite pointless because
of the above reasons. Performance-wise, they are in a completely different league.
