I don;t think so, we still can see SBS buses export to NZ few years ago, but due to regulation changes in NZ, no more SBS buses going there

I guess it should be fine if you are not going to register the bus to run on the roads, otherwise, you may have to comfort TD's requirement which is not likely to be.
