[GB] Birkenhead 69

Hope I am posting at the right forum. At the time of visit, both HK trams were sitting in the depot. Hopefully they will be out for the open day later this year.

Was that Birkenhead #20 that picked you up then?
I went there in Nov 2008 and I could ride on #69. Usually only one of the three trams (Birkenhead #20,
Hong Kong made #69, #70) will be out for picking up visitors during the opening time.

I think you're quite lucky then...It seems that Liverpool #762 doesn't usually come out for
passenger service.
The Hong Kong made #69/#70 are purchased by the museum mainly for pick-up service
so that the preserved British trams can be kept inside the museum in better shape.

P.S. Did you see the Fleetline with VRT engine cover in the museum?
