I think it is possible.
Assume the sunshine part goes wrong way on 7/12. I suspect there may be next typhoon that may come to HK. Otherwise, sunny periods will be valid.
Now, if the assumption is true (at least at this moment), then the sunny periods part went to 7/6 (Mon). Do you remember the weather on that day? The weather is thunderstorm until the rainstorm period ends.
If the weather became better on 7/6, then the weather was sunny periods (but not sunny intervals!) and thunderstorm-shower.
Furthermore, no matter how weather changes, sunny intervals may not be available
because the power of sunny intervals is too weak and this is one of the reason
that HKO does not state sunny intervals. Do not forget that the later sunny intervals cannot be easily determined.
Hence, you cannot find any sunny intervals part in the weather report right now.
