The rolelanning Trainee shall receive comprehensive on job training on service planning in public bus sector forefficiency improvement and provide the best services for customers.
• Exposure in deploying route information sheets on bus route information panels across the network
• Continuous development to review the efficiency of bus route network and assist seniors to prepare busroute network plan on routeing and service levels for efficiency improvement
• Hands on experience to perform project evaluation by using financial models and forecastingmethodologies. Analyse practicalities of service plans.
• Keep abreast of business environment such as demographics, economic environment, infrastructure,market competition and customers' expectation.
• Develop commercial mind-set to identify new opportunities for operations by using different forms ofdata. Plan for data collection, analytics and compilation of reports. Field observations and survey may berequired from time to time.
• Assist to maintain and update various internal and external system of the department• Exposure in revenue and ridership forecast of bus route network
• Hands on experience to work on the details on fare initiative schemes.
• Assist to handle public suggestions and enquiries on bus servicesSkills and attributes:
• Fresh graduate or recent graduate with Bachelor Degree in Transport, Logistics, Geography, BusinessAdministration, Public Administration, Mathematics or Statistics
• Level 4 or above in Mathematics of the HKDSE or equivalent
• Possession of class 1 & 2 driving licence is preferred
• Good analytical skill and knowledge/ experience in analytical and programming tools
• Concise communication and good presentation skills
• Good command in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese
