第二程:Great Northern Class 387 v.s.
CrossCountry Class 170
Cambridge
FYI:Cambridge - London Terminals 1
- 2班 Great Northern: 不停站經 Cambridge Line 及 East Coast Main Line 直達 London Kings Cross, 部分由 Ely / Kings Lynn 開出
London Bridge)
- 2班 Thameslink: Cambridge - London Kings Cross, Cambridge Line 及 East Coast Main Line 內各站停車
- 2 班 Greater Anglia: Cambridge North - Cambridge - London Liverpool Street: 經 West Anglia Main Line
- Peterborough - Hitchin 間 East Coast Main Line (LNER, Hull Trains, Grand Central, Lumo) 改經 Cambridge
Hitchin - Peterborough
- Three Bridges - Brighton 改用 Rail Replacement Bus,Cambridge - Brighton 改 Three Bridges 尾站
- Audley End - Broxbourne (West Anglia Main Line) 改用 Rail Replacement Bus
12:24 Three Bridges: Cancelled
Pancras)
之後Check到12:54 Cambridge - Three Bridges,雖 Delay 但有開車,13:30 Letchworth Garden City - Horsham 狀態為 On Time;我心諗:去到Kings Cross 要轉去 London Bridge,最快都係行過去 St. Pancras 坐上述兩班 Thameslink 是但一班,咁點解唔喺 Stevenage 轉?
That Southeastern train is Class 456 (30 years old) instead of Class 444. Class 444 is the regional train used by Southwestern.
Also, next time if you want to do some split ticket exercise to save money, you can use trainsplit.com for referencing (or buy from there if you don't mind paying some contribution to that railway-fan founded retailer).
Most National Rail stations ticket offices don't do oyster card top-up, only ticket machines do. You may think of doing an online top-up from the oyster card official website as well.

My ticket split this time has nothing to do with the stations; it was because of availability of Advance Single on EMR Regional services, which are cheaper than GA (providing direct Norwich - Cambridge) services as GA sells Anytime tickets on this route only. I have to take an EMR service from Norwich - Ely for my first leg, and transit to Cambridge anyway for my case. I bought the Norwich - Ely and Ely - Camridge on EMR / CrossCountry site (forgotten which) and Cambridge - London Bridge through Thameslink.
I did use a ticket machine for Oyster Card top-up; I inserted my credit card as instructed but for some reasons the payment have not been succesful :/
