As the Enviro200 were being extinct due to spareparts issues between rapidKL and Alexander Dennis, the Enviro500 fleets are now becoming a rare existence, as only a few units were remain in service, while the others has been cannibalised for parts to be used on surviving fleets. Over 40 Enviro500 units purchased by rapidKL in 2014, only 10 to 15 units were still remain until today on service 420, 450, 600 and 640, with the CBU fleets, previously used on rapidPenang being deployed specially on route 600 and 640.
The reduced Enviro500 fleets and retirement of Enviro200 caused some K270's and K250's being deployed on some free bus services, which resulting a longer waiting time on some trunk routes.
