Since the introduction of Wessex Connect taken over Long Ashton Park & Ride on 1st April, the second P&R- 902 A4 Portway was taken over by this new company as from 16th Apr.
The first day of service was smooth but a MAN MCV Evoultion from Surrey Connect was broke down but was soon back on the road. The 902 buses will painted into green livery soon when all the Plaxton Centros have arrived.
They will soon replaced by Volvo B9TL/ Wright in August
One of my source told me that the 5 Plaxton Centro's currently in operation on the Portway Park & Ride are
acquired by Flights Hallmark but ARE NOT THE PARK & RIDE VEHICLES !!
The new Centros for P&R work will be Volvo B7RLE's (not the DAF's currently
here) and the first two are to be delivered on Monday. Two will be delivered
every Monday until all are delivered.
Once these are in service the borrowed vehicles will go back to their
respective operators (Central, Zaks and Surrey) and the 5 DAF's will go back to
Plaxtons for painting into Flights Hallmark livery, gain destination equipment.
