Refurbishment of the lift in the University Library, CUHK

The library refered is the main library (UL) of the Chinese University of Hong Kong

Notices have been put in front of the doors of the lift, each floor

The lift has been closed since 24.5.2010
It will re-open on 31.7.2010

It seems that the car will be changed
I have taken the old car, it is a little bit chok when it stops
(Feel free to post photo of the old car)

ps The brand of the lift is OTIS

中大主圖書館的兩部升降機是原裝OTIS(後面還有一部較小的, 但lift門貼有職員專用字樣)
因為屬AC2運行模式, 會有明顯先轉慢車的感覺, 對位後落迫力停機, 所以就會感覺稍"凳"一點,
不少舊式升降機都是用這種模式,
而這兩部升降機按OTIS的機器號碼估計, 約1971-72年間出品

用GEC Fiam的是山上的新亞書院圖書館,
聯合書院圖書館有部後加的三菱,
崇基圖書館有部小型日立升降機(職員專用)

Yes, but the staff lift still operates

I went to the Main Library yesterday
Besides notices, fences have been put before the doors of the lift
Some workers demolished the pieces of the old car

BTW, where can we still take rides of old cars in CUHK Campus

印象中CUHK的升降機好多都唔係換左就係已經翻新左
不過都記得近火車站果群樓，有一座好似係舊otis黎...

中大被更換的升降機主要是前GEC的產品更換為OTIS
但有一批升降機於2004年由迅達的HKL雜走, 就曾由當時的HKL翻新
