Last 2 weeks of london's L class at Norwood

The last few remaining origional L class remaining with Arriva would be withdrawn from service on 2nd September.

The L class- 262 of them- were the last double decks ordered by London Tranpsort before it was split up in 1985.

The last remaining L in service - L234, is allocated to Greys Garage/Arriva and is used on Tfl tendered school journey on route 370.

The last 7 Ls are used on routes 249 432 on Mon-Sat.

here is a nearside of L198 at Brixton on the last new L route- 432; the bus was the last to be repainted [with a white roof!]

and an offside view of L162 in the new Arriva London livery. this bus and L102 are the only ones painted in such a way. it is on route 249

Meanwhile, VLA131 was spotted this morning at Walthamstow Bus Station, without cow-horn.  It might be interesting to see rather Ls from the North or Ls from the South to go first
