Hi,

My friend (Mark Westgarth) was VERY shocked to see this crossing the tyne bridge in Newcastle (uk) today.  Still lettering for the Australia tour!

If anyone has any idea why it is in the UK, or which ML it is - would be a great help!

I get the strange feeling it could be something to do with Stagecoach Busways (newcastle) due to the driver wearing a hi-vis vest (all stagecoach NE employee must wear these now)

As some of our Australian boardmates stated that a good number (like 10?) of MLs have had been shipped back to the UK.  I'm not surprise to see them on the road now, since they left the Aussie port about a year ago now.   Watch this space John, more are coming!!

These Metrobuses are bought by Arriva The Original Tour to top up their
existing fleet of similar vehicle. So don't worry, you are really seeing things~

There is not 100 series closed top ML went back to the UK from Australia
all of them are open top and most of them are decaled for Sydney Tours

This bus was suppose to go on the road in Adelaide as 415(still have the fleet number above the front door and driver window, this is ex-ML19), but before it was taken for the registration, the WTC was hitted by 2 Aeroplanes and strongly affecting the tourist industry in many places around the world

Here is the list for City Sightseeing in Australia, including a  disposal list that what have CS sold the un-used buses and went back to the UK.
Anyone can help and identify the 10 units went back to the UK, is greatly appreciated

The ferris wheel has been here since the Tall Ships event a few weeks back - It is located on the quayside near to the sage.
The photograph is right next to the tyne bridge (the bridge is just to the left) the bus has just came off the tyne bridge and waiting at the lights to go up the hill towards gateshead interchange.

Hope this can help you work out exactly where it is ;)
