Southdown PSV is a new small operator in Surrey. from Saturday, they won tenders from Surrey County Council to operate several routes. Route 409 is the only route that reaches the London boundary- but it is NOT a part of the TfL/London buses network.
Here is an ex London Buses vehicle- a Daf DB250 with Plaxton body, one of the batch that entered service on route 60 in Croydon in 1999. The bus then transfered to Sovereign for route 114/183, but withdrawn in 2004 and sold.
Most of the vehicle bought by Southdown are second hand low floor plaxton darts, and 4 of them are supposed to work on route 409.
