i saw these bus few yrs ago in Singapore and i wondered if they were still in service 2005?
they looked so much like the buses in Japan

It was still in service in April 2009 on route 187, but I don't know now.

It is still in service, mostly on 178 and 853 nowadays. I don't see them on 187 (as well as 852) anymore.
The photo was taken on Friday (19/06).

You can take 178 to outside Woodlands checkpoint since you still have to transfer to another 160/170 after clearing Singapore immigration. But of course it is cheaper and faster to take 160.

Actually it's not that easy to take UD on 178 nowadays, with N113 and CAC O405 running along. It's about 50% chance I'd say.

Actually if you want to find the Ex-CSS UDs, try going for Svc 178 187. For Svc 853, there is only 2-3 UDs in the fleet at the moment.

Try catching them if you can. they are going off very soon.
