If picking up passengers from what so-called 'side-walk' is breaking the law.  Then I guess our Megabus in the UK might probably went bankcrupt already....... #;D

The problem is that these buses doesn't have the proper licenses for interstate fee services, if such buses are involve in accident, the insurence company will not pay $$$ to the victims.  What these buses have are charter license, that means they can only run in the tourist business, and in US, the federal/ state/ county government are really serious about cracking down illegal transportation service.  the Fung Wah company probably not just violated the NYS laws about revenue transportation, but it might also violate the Interstate Commerce Act.

Howeve, Fung Wah is in a very good business. I never saw a bus not full when I was in Boston.
