離奇撞機一問：

我在這兩個網頁找到一則關於泰航撞機意外，
而涉及意外既飛機為A300及MD-11。

但這單撞機意外A300就這樣退役，
反而MD-11沒有因此而退役，
有冇板友知道有關原因？

The A300 was quite old at the time of the accident, and has depreciated
to an extend that the repair cost would have been higher than the value
of the plane itself, making it unjustifiable. On the prospect of the company
it was better off to write the aircraft off.
