Dubai <-> London

I would like to ask how many flights serving between Dubai and London (Gatwick and Heathrow) per day.

I saw Emirates, there are 7 flights per day serving between them,
and I did not check BA and VS and other airlines.
I guess there should be at least 10 flights per day.

Is the demand such high?
If yes, why? Is it due to some historical reasons or what?
