昨天miss說Present participle,聽極都唔明,大家可否教教我Present participle係點?(俾d例子)

簡單來說，就是動詞的-ing form，中學階段通常有４種用法

以下是簡化的例子：

１）形成進行式(is/am/are/was/were/be/been + V-ing)
例如：
I am listening to the song now.
They have been playing basketball for 3 hours.

２）形容事情或形容死物的形容詞
例如：
English is boring.
This party is really relaxing.

３）作動名詞(Gerund)使用
例如：
Swimming is one of the healthy activities.
Reading magazines can spare much time.

４）作Subordinate Clause的動詞使用
例如：
Being a class monitor, John is very responsible.
*Compare: John is a class monitor. John is very responsible.
